U/L T100 - Minimum Premium

The UL T100 is the most popular form of Universal Life insurance. In a UL T100 policy, clients organize with their brokers for a set financial goal. The policy is then used as both a life insurance product and a tax-sheltered investment vehicle. Clients then make payments to their policy throughout their lives, accumulating a policy cash value and investment fund with the peace of mind of a permanent life insurance policy.

The premiums shown here are the minimum premium payment for the policy. Because Universal Life insurance is an investment plan as much as it is an insurance policy, the exact amounts are always higher. With their broker's help, clients set the premium based on how much they want to invest.

U/L T100 - Minimum Premium - 10 Pay

UL-T100 10 Pay is another class of Universal Life insurance products. These policies have all the same features as a plain UL T100 universal life policy, except for one major difference: Rather than paying for the life insurance product throughout your entire life, you pay for permanent coverage over the course of ten years. After ten years, you never have to pay another premium again, but remain covered until your death.

U/L T100 - Minimum Premium - 15 Pay

UL-T100 15 Pay, like 10 pay, is a permanent universal life insurance policy that you pay for a fixed period of time, after which you're covered for the rest of your life. The period of time for a 15 pay UL policy is 15 years. One thing to note is that because the payments are spread out over a longer period than the 10 pay, they are generally lower.

U/L T100 - Minimum Premium - 20 Pay

The UL T100 20 pay class of products is the last type of universal life product generally available to Canadians. These products are paid for over the course of 20 years, after which you're covered for life. The minimum premium for a 20 year T100 is lower than 10 or 15 pay because the payments are spread out over a much larger amount of time. Because they cost less on a monthly basis, these products allow for the accumulation of a larger investment fund, to be used at the end of the policy's life.

Mortgage Amortization Calculator
An amortization is the amount of time scheduled to completely pay off a loan, and the amortization length you choose is important in shaping how much you'll end up paying for your home. While the Government of Canada's national housing agency caps the amortization period for high-ratio mortgages at 25 years, and that is the most popular amortization length in Canada, amortizations can range anywhere from 5 to 30 years for uninsured mortgages. Try our easy to use mortgage calculator to see how changing the amortization length affects your loan payments.
